Vida Barbara Ntow is a veteran educator and early childhood development expert who retired from the Ghana Education Service (GES) after more than 30 years of exceptional service. As the former National Early Childhood Coordinator, she led national policy implementation, curriculum reform, and capacity-building initiatives that shaped the foundations of Ghana’s public early childhood education system.

Vida’s professional journey began as a teacher at the State School for the Deaf, and over the years, she championed inclusive education, teacher training, and play-based learning approaches at both regional and national levels. She holds an MPhil in Special Education and a B.Ed in Special Education and Home Economics from the University of Education, Winneba.

Throughout her career, she represented Ghana at major international early childhood forums across the UK, USA, Japan, Israel, Uzbekistan, and Mauritius, advocating for best practices in inclusive and equitable education.

Now on pension, Vida continues to serve as a Board Member of ECNG, where she provides strategic guidance on inclusive education, teacher support, and national advocacy efforts. Her unwavering commitment to the well-being of Ghana’s youngest learners continues to inspire professionals across the early childhood sector.
