Kwesi Acquah Sam is the Co-Founder and a Board Member of the Early Childhood Network Ghana (ECNG), where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the network’s strategic direction, research agenda, and advocacy initiatives for early childhood development across Ghana and Sub-Saharan Africa.

A trained Counselling Psychologist and Human Capacity Development Specialist, Kwesi brings over two decades of experience working in education, youth development, policy advocacy, and programme design. His leadership blends deep psychosocial insight with innovative approaches to strengthening early learning systems, family engagement, and professional development for educators.

Kwesi currently serves at the Association of African Universities (AAU) as a Senior Programme Officer and Head of Student Affairs, where he designs and implements continent-wide initiatives in leadership development, student entrepreneurship, postgraduate research training, and higher education capacity building. He is also Chair of the Early Childhood Cluster Working Group on Knowledge Generation, Dissemination and Documentation under the African Union’s Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA 16-25).

A respected speaker and education media personality, Kwesi hosts AAUTalks on AAU Television, where he profiles education leaders and policy influencers from across the continent. His volunteer work in underserved communities reflects his lifelong commitment to mentorship, counselling, and inclusive education.

At ECNG, Kwesi leads efforts in evidence generation, community engagement, and policy translation, helping to bridge research with practice.
